We can't recommend Simone highly enough! We were told Simone was one of the best night nurses at Newborn Nurtury, and we were not disappointed! 

Simone is a lovely woman who truly loves and cares about babies, with an infectious smile and sunny personality that was contagious for both our son and us parents alike. She's extremely knowledgeable and experienced, intuiting what your baby needs and reading his cues in ways that would be impossible for new parents to know. We were extremely assured our son would have restful nights with Simone and were able to go out on date nights with confidence he would be well-taken care of (and pampered!) in our absence. Beyond merely caring for him, Simone stimulated him as well, with indulging massages, singing to him in French and Portuguese, and other techniques she's learned from years caring for newborns. 

Simone also makes an effort to impart her knowledge to parents, demonstrating the right way to bathe, burp, and feed babies. And she made efforts to also give us a roadmap for later even after her time with us, such as how to introduce solid foods and how to wean him gradually off night feedings.  

She's also very knowledgeable about baby products. For instance, our son had persistent dry skin and a diaper rash that our lotions/creams weren't fixing, but Simone knew of two other products that were either organic or higher-potency which took care of both problems immediately. 

Simone also went above and beyond doing some small tasks around the house we didn't even ask her to do, such as organizing our son's chaotic clothing drawers. In addition, she taught us how to safely remove stains from our son’s clothes before washing, so that any bacteria was eliminated.

Again, we can't recommend Simone highly enough, as we not only got more sleep during her time with us, but also came out smarter and better parents for having her in our home!

It is our pleasure to recommend Simone Santos for employment as a Nanny. She has been with our family for a little over a year, joining us when our twins were less than two months old and continuing to the present.

Let us start by saying that Simone is simply the best child taker you could dream to find! She loves children and children love them. She has done an excellent job taking care of them during this year and also helping us (the parents) go through a very difficult adjustment period!

While both of us were working, Simone was responsible for organizing the babies’ routine. She sleep trained them and gradually introduced them to age appropriate activities, feeding and education. She occasionally took care of our older kid (now 4 years old) in addition to the twins, when school was out or when he was ill. She would always maintain the kids’ room, bath and play areas organized and spotless. Another one of Simone’s amazing talents is her language skills. She would talk and sing to the babies in English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, and taught them to dance, clap their hands and play little musical instruments!

Simone also surprised us with her amazing cookie skills—which, since we are both originally from France, is quite difficult! She puts the same passion in preparing nutritious meals and snacks for the kids. She will make everything from scratch and, at the same time, be organized and efficient to make it look like magic.

Recently, Emma has decided to resign from her position and spend more time with the babies. It was a very hard decision to make, as it means that we will no longer be able to keep Simone in our employment. The twins will miss her so much, and Simone loves them like her own children. On the positive side, it means that another family will be blessed to have her in their kids’ life.

On a business weekly basis, Simone provides highly skilled care of our child from the newborn to toddler stage. This includes regular diaper changes, feeding, maintaining a regular nap schedule (he sleeps 12-14+hours a day), and support of age appropriate stimulation and development activities.

In addition, Simone launders our child’s linens and clothing regularly which includes folding and putting away clothes. I have often asked for her help to select and store outgrown and season clothing and on occasion asked for her help to pack a suitcase for a trip with our child. 

Simone ensures that all areas of the home being utilized are clean and tidy at the end of every activity with our child. She organizes and picks up toys, clean-up child messes and generally keeps a tidy home for us.

Areas where we feel Simone has excelled include preparing made-from-scratch meals daily for our child. She will even prepare extra and freeze individual portions for us to use during the weekend when she is not around. She also has taught our child Portuguese and French, creating a foundation for the future. Our child also enjoys many activities outside the home with Simone as welli ncluding frequent walks to play in the park, the water park, visiting the duck ponds, Aquarium in Seattle, going to the library, attending weekly Gym class and accompanying us on doctor’s visits.

Finally, what we are most pleased with is our child’s happiness, health, curiosity, bravery, and kindness. With Simone, our child is giggling, hugging, and learning every single day. I am delighted to write this letter of reference on behalf of Simone Santos. For the last year and a half, Simone regularly provided child care services for our three children - b/g twins currently 4%years old and l year old son, whom she started to care for when he was about 5 weeks old. Simone is a wonderful, warm, and patient person. She is always punctual, very reliable, and is flexible in accommodating our scheduling needs. 

All three children love to have her over and our youngest lights up when he sees her. she lovingly engages our twins about their days, encourages creative and artistic play, and is patient but firm with them when needed. Additionally, she frequently speaks Portuguese and French to all three children. Simone cleans up after the children, organizes their play spaces and room, and does their laundry, always leaving the spaces cleaner and more organized than when she arrived. I am still in awe at how much she can get done while taking splendid care of our children.

I wholeheartedly recommend Simone as a caretaker for children of any age. She has been simply delightful and has become part of our family! Any family would be lucky to have her care for their children.

Simone has been such an incredible person to meet and she has taken exceptional care of our

daughter. In addition to that, being around her is like taking a graduate course on how to be a parent.

She taught me how to bathe my daughter correctly, told me proper creams and tools to purchase,and is always available to answer my questions. Her knowledge and passion has provided me the confidence and tools to be the best mother I can be for my daughter.

Prior to Simone, I had a few bad experiences with night nurses which left me feeling very anxious about the next person taking care of my daughter. I am writing to share my glowing recommendation of Simone Santos as a baby nurse / newborn care specialist. Simone supported my husband and me as a night nurse for our newborn twins over the course of 12 weeks. There is no way we would have survived this period without her! She is a total pro and not only took wonderful care of our children, but also taught us some very helpful tools and techniques, as we were first-time parents. Some of the things we love about her:

Simone was always on time (and often a little early!). She has a naturally calming energy and presence, and after long days with the twins, we felt such a sense of relief each night she stepped in the door.

Simone is a baby whisperer. Early on, there were many nights where one or both babies would be fussing and hard to get to sleep. She knew exactly how to soothe them and make them feel at ease. She is maternal in nature and her love and care for our babies was felt at all times.

She is very proactive with household tasks. Without asking, Simone took it upon herself to keep all our laundry (of which there is a lot of in the early days) moving overnight. We’d wake up to find our whole family’s clothes washed, folded, and organized, along with all the babies’ clothes and linens cleaned and put neatly away in the nursery. This was beyond helpful, as we often didn’t have time or energy to complete all these chores throughout the day. Same goes for washing dishes and the many bottles/pump parts that accumulate.

Given her many years of experience, Simone was able to recommend products that were helpful for our specific circumstance—for example, one of our babies had reflux and she recommended formulas and feeding techniques to support her. Her twin experience was also extremely helpful, as she showed us how to feed both babies at once which was a game-changer for both our daytime and nighttime routines.

At the same time, Simone was always respectful to our wishes as parents. Our children were born prematurely and upon being discharged from the NICU, there were certain elements around feeding that were important to us (e.g., when to use formula vs. breast milk, our desire to use a sanitizer for all the bottles, the amount we wanted to feed them, etc.). She always adhered to these requests and never tried to push her own agenda.

I could go on and on. Simone is truly wonderful, and I cannot recommend her enough. She was an integral part of our family’s support system during those blurry, early days as first-time parents. If you hire her, you will never look back!

From the day she first entered our home, Simone has been nothing short of exceptional. Simone does not simply take care of a child; she cares for the child. Her passion for and extensive experience in newborn care is extraordinary and was clear from the first night that she tended to our baby. She is gentle and patient, no matter how challenging a baby may be, and always handles our child with constant and soothing attention, affection, and encouragement, with positive affirmations and songs (in multiple languages!). 

Simone understands the great trust that new parents put in her, and put our minds at ease with her responsible nature. Our baby was always monitored under Simone’s careful watch, such that we could feel comfortable being in another part of the house for the night or going out to dinner. In addition to her caretaking skills, Simone is a consummate professional: always on time (if not five minutes early), polite and respectful, exceedingly neat, and diligent. She was great with visiting friends and family members, and an immense help on family road trips.

Simone is as much of a teacher as she is a caretaker, and in just the few months following our baby’s birth, we learned more from her than from all the instructional books we read during pregnancy. 

Simone’s approach to child care is comprehensive: from her we have learned about proper nutrition and feeding techniques, the nuances of sleep patterns and sleep training, the value of massage and bath time for babies, a baby’s communication methods, what products to use and not to use, and, of great importance, hygiene in all parts of baby care, whether it be bottle cleansing, food preparation, clothes and bedding sanitation, or contact with and handling of the baby. We regularly wonder where we’d be without her instruction, which often prevented problems before they started and certainly has made our baby safer and healthier.

We could not have pictured our baby in better hands than hers and feel very grateful that she has played such an important and consequential role in the shaping of our child’s early life. We highly recommend Simone’s services, and I would be happy to provide any further information on Simone and our experience with her if desired.

I hired Simone Santos as our Night Nurse/Doula to help care for our newborn son. She started working 12-hour nights with us when my son was 2 days old and stayed with us until he was one month old and if there was any way I could keep her longer I would have.

Simone is everything I could have hoped for in a night nurse/doula and more. She is one of the kindest, most thoughtful, professional, respectful, experienced, and knowledgeable people I have ever met. Simone was trustworthy, calm, gentle and so loving with our newborn son as well as with our 3.5-year-old daughter who also adores her. Simone would go out of her way to help my daughter get ready for school in the morning, play with her when I was nursing the baby and even make us all breakfast (the best pancakes ever!). Simone Santos was our newborn care specialist for 3 months after the birth of our twin boys. She was a true blessing in our lives.

On a usual day she would come promptly at 9pm, preparing the boys meals, washing the bottles and preparing the crib ready for bed.

Simone is very organized and keeps a sterile environment. Over the night time she is spending time with the babies, holding them, feeding them, changing the diapers, doing the baby laundry and overall keeping everything running perfectly in check. She is also excellent at playtime in the baby's development and sang to the babies in French on a daily basis.

Then around 6am in the morning, she is getting them ready for the breastfeed, which I always enjoyed a good cup of coffee with her and some great talks about life and spirituality. Simone is also an impeccable cook and we were lucky to have some amazing Brazilian and european dishes with her at our house in Joshua Tree.

She is always on time, dressed beautifully and professional in all aspects.

One of the things we greatly enjoyed is her knowledge about the babies' health and what we should do next. She is highly intuitive to the babies' needs and we credit their health and growth to her. She was also completely available to us when we needed her for extra hours outside her normal shift. We were so grateful that she was so flexible and accommodating.

She is truly a great person and anyone that has the opportunity to have their baby with her, is lucky - with no exaggeration. Not only does she have a high professional level but comes from a deep and honest place of love.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Simone Santos. I met Simone at the end of 2020 and hired her to assist my family as the night nurse for our newborn twins. I cannot express in words how grateful I am to have had her help the last few months.

Simone consistently demonstrated a calming and soothing demeanor, despite my babies' disposition. She is trustworthy, knowledgeable, caring, patient, and responsible.

The first time she came to our house I was immediately impressed by her calming presence - a quality that anyone who is taking care of newborns will greatly appreciate. I have learned that babies feed off of their caretaker's energy. If the person holding them gets nervous or frustrated when the baby cries, usually the baby will cry louder. Simone did not get nervous or frustrated when my babies cried and in turn was able to calm them down. Moreover, her calm demeanor helped me to relax and to more easily soothe the babies.

Night after night Simone helped bathe our babies and gave them soothing massages before bedtime. When my baby boy developed a rash on his skin, I appreciated that she gave me suggestions on what we could use to treat his skin. She has also given me a lot of great tips on things ranging from how to bathe them to what type of diapers and eats would be good to use As a bonus she's also shared a lot of strategies for dealing with my toddler's mood swings, teaching her how to listen and setting healthy boundaries.

Because of Simone, I have been able to sleep longer and more peacefully at night knowing that someone I trust is looking after my babies.
